Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Partner to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Finance Partner will play a critical role in providing financial insight, strategic advice, and business partnering to drive key decisions across our organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, deep expertise in financial management, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Act as a trusted finance advisor and business partner to Shield AI’s leadership teams
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for assigned departments or business units
Analyze operational and financial performance, identify opportunities and risks, and communicate actionable recommendations
Prepare and present sophisticated financial models, variance analysis, and management reporting to support business objectives
Collaborate with department heads to drive resource allocation, cost management, and profitability initiatives
Support investment decision making and strategic planning projects, including business cases for new initiatives
Develop and implement improved financial processes, dashboards, and internal controls
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Mentor and support the growth of junior finance team members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
8+ years of progressive experience in finance, corporate finance, FP&A, or related roles
Proven track record as a finance business partner in a technology, defense, or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budget management, and forecasting techniques
Advanced Excel and financial systems skills (e.g., ERP, BI tools); experience with NetSuite is a plus
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance, if required
