Tip: Include both the acronym and full name for key terms. Write "SEM/EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy)" so the ATS catches both the abbreviation and the full phrase.
Experience
Use this formula for every bullet point:
Start bullets with strong verbs: Led, Performed, Qualified, Conducted, Developed, Optimized. Avoid "Responsible for" or "Assisted with," which say nothing about your technical contributions.
3-5 bullets per role. Lead with investigation outcomes and cost impact.
Education & Certifications

- ⚠No cost or reliability impact - materials engineering decisions affect product lifetime and manufacturing cost. If your work saved reprocessing costs, reduced warranty failures, or improved yield, quantify it.
- ⚠Omitting testing standards - ASTM, AMS, NADCAP, and AS9100 are frequently used as ATS filters in aerospace and manufacturing. If your work involved compliance with these standards, list them explicitly.
