Position Title: Senior Manager Enterprise Planning and Forecasting PMO
A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Manager Enterprise Planning and Forecasting PMO reporting to the Executive Manager Financial Planning and Reporting.
A bit about your role
In this role, you will lead the delivery of nbn’s enterprise-wide Integrated Operating Plan (IOP) and forecasting processes, bringing strategic priorities to life through connected strategic, operational and financial plans. Working with Finance, Strategy and the broader business, you will coordinate at the enterprise level the annual budget, four-year IOP, Long-Term Plan and reforecasts from start to finish. You will set, maintain and communicate across the organisation clear timetables, milestones and expectations, ensuring alignment of inputs and assumptions, while managing changes, risks and dependencies to keep each cycle on track, integrated and delivered at a high-quality on time.
You will prepare high-quality consolidated IOP and forecast materials, translating enterprise strategy, key objectives and transformation initiatives into clear and compelling narratives for the Executive Committee, Board and Shareholders. You will analyse movements against prior plans and forecasts, challenge assumptions, and provide insights into risks, opportunities and scenarios to support informed decisions. You will also help shape how nbn plans and forecasts, partnering with Finance, business and Systems teams to strengthen governance, process and controls, improve tools and data, and advance driver-based and scenario forecasting. By embedding lessons learned and simpler ways of working, you will reduce rework, shorten planning cycles, increase forecast agility and improve forecast accuracy.
A bit about you
An ideal candidate will have a strong Finance and Accounting background combined with extensive PMO or program management experience across financial planning and analysis, enterprise planning, forecasting and program delivery in large, complex organisations. You’ll hold a relevant CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification as well as a program management qualification. Your experience leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, managing enterprise-wide processes and stakeholders, milestones, dependencies and risks, and preparing high-quality management, Board and Shareholder reporting will equip you to succeed. Consulting experience will also be highly regarded.
You will bring extensive experience in developing high-quality executive and Board-level presentations that distil complex financial, strategic and operational information into clear, actionable insights. You have a strong ability to articulate the “what”, “so what” and “now what”, shaping compelling narratives that influence enterprise decisions and outcomes.
As a trusted advisor who builds strong relationships across all levels of the organisation, you are confident in engaging with senior leaders to influence decisions, navigate complexity and align diverse stakeholders around a common goal. You combine financial and analytical judgement with clear communication, translating detail into meaningful executive insights. You are comfortable working both within a team and autonomously, and managing competing deadlines without compromising accuracy. With a continuous improvement mindset, you’ll lead change, embed practical governance and process documentation, and make planning and forecasting more effective.
Application Process
You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
